I received a call from my dealer this morning. He knows I have been ready to order for some time. I gave him all the dealer codes for the body, color, interior, trans, engine, rear, wheels, and most options I want. Then he said he can not build one for me because he does not have pricing and the web page was down? Why do we have to go through all this Bull****? I have a trade. I have the money. What is wrong with this picture ?

Tomorrow I'm going to the Audi dealer and and checking out a new ragtop.
A comparable Audi (S5 convertible) is going to cost you $20-30k more than a loaded 2015 GT convertible...just so ya know! I love Audis too but they're not even competitive in many areas, especially price!

You could buy a Focus ST to get you by AND order your 2015 Mustang for that cost :-)

I'm not going to stress over it. I mean really, even if order banks open and we get pricing tomorrow as originally predicted and everyone clamors to order one... then what? We WAIT. For MONTHS. Is ordering one tomorrow going to make that wait any easier than it would be ordering next week or the week after that? Certainly will not for me. All it does is fast forward to the next chapter in the waiting game. Unfortunately, in this case fast forwarding doesn't make the end come any sooner. ;)

First world problems, right?

I think many are going to look back and realize that in the big scheme of things, all of this obsessing was wasted energy... :)
I agree. I'm not planning on purchasing until mid to late 2015 so I have no clue why I was so excited. It kind of hit me this morning that my goal is to pay off every single bill I have then buy one...so that is my goal and what I need to focus my energy on now...not waiting for every update. It really doesn't apply to me anyhow. For me instead it'll just be neat to see what I have to look forward to and how much car I want to spend my bill free money on knowing it'll just be a car for me...not an investment.

I heard the Ford pricing that other manufacturers have access to has a GT Premium at $42,XXX. If this is true, that's a huge increase over the S197.
I highly doubt that.

Think they may be referring to Canadian pricing, it starts at ~$42,500 but that is in Canadian dollars.

Interestingly, maybe because I was playing with it so much, i can still see (cached) pretty much the whole configurator site on Chrome, but not IE...

Well firstly your dealer can't sell you what's not yet available to them to sell. Secondly, it's apparently not worth Ford's while to pull forward the ordering availability date by a certain amount of time from the date the entire Ford Motor has been planning toward to gain your business.

Lastly, if the few more days between now and whenever Ford dealers will be able to accept and place orders is enough to send you to an Audi dealer, how badly could you really have wanted an S550 anyway?

Customers may always be right, but not all customers' business is worth having.

I would personally they prioritize getting it right over quick. We ordered out 2013 Fusion in May of 13 the day the order guide came out and it was delivered in Jan 14. If you think now is frustrating just wait until it is built and sitting on a train somewhere or on a lot across the state waiting to get loaded on a truck and you still are not sure when it will show up!

Hah so true. That wait really is the worst part.

Anyhow I don't see it going until mid June or July like someone posted. Not when the order guide and pricing for Canada is out and the customizer site was that close to being done. Seems like a flick of a switch away.

How is that starting with you? I said "dealers" as in plural. You were just one example of trusting dealers who usually know less than everyone here. You are pretty sensitive for a guy who has no problem calling out the admins here.

Why didn't you just post that generically if you were referring to all of us who were told this by our dealers then? I'm not sensitive I was just taken aback that you tagged me in particular when there was a few of us who were told the same.

I'm glad they were wrong! I'm glad I was wrong in my skepticism. I just hope we get specs soon. I'd hate to blindly order a car. Happy ordering everyone!

Really? So because info on the Mustang is a little delayed you want to buy an anemic Audi that sounds like a Prius. Please, let me drive you there. You don't deserve to drive a Mustang.

If you had read my post you will see I have no intention of buying an Audi. I have purchased from my dealer, a 1989 LX 5.0 5 sp., 1992 LX 5.0 5sp.,2005 Anniversary Edition T-Bird,2010 GT Convertible, and my current 2011 GT 6sp. I was just venting about the delay and am rethinking the convertible purchase. At this point I'm leaning toward another coupe. I will be stopping by my dealer in the morning and see what we can work out. The wait for a ragtop is not worth it for me. Plus I'll save a large chunk of change. I just really like the new style.

Ruby Red EcoBoost Premium Ordered!

My 2015 EcoBoost Mustang is ordered! :clap2: Every price listed here on M6G was right on the money :hail:

Now how to I track it through the system? I understand I can find out what day it is built, and when it is shipped etc...
