Are you now forced into making payments on something that hasn't been delivered? I mean, did they get to the point of the process where they schedule your first payment and such?
I financed through my bank. My first payment is not due until 11/15 (I'm former Army, the 1st and the 15th for everything haha). I've been keeping an eye on the transit of my GT enough that I was confident in taking delivery between the last payment on my 13 and my first payment on my 15. So I completed the work with the dealership. They now own my 13 and are letting me drive it. It's under their insurance. My 15 is under my name, and is on my insurance policy as well. I am the proud owner of a 2015 GT that's still on a truck haha.

Yes, I'm Cameron - Cam (under my avatar) is my nickname. ;)

I'll condense the information I have smattered through this thread.

After failed attempts to sell my 2013 I agreed to the (not so great) dealer trade and went in Wednesday 10/22 to finalize my paperwork. I manage a microbrewery and work very odd and unpredictable hours. Before the COTUS source code was hidden I saw an ETA of 10/21 to 10/25. My boss was kind enough to let me slip my duties to go take receipt of the car when it arrives. I decided the way to return the favor was to do my part to make it as quick as possible so I can get back to work.

As of Thursday morning COTUS was showing me as In Transit. Thursday night, during a quick break, I checked COTUS again and it showed delivered (picture from first post). It was late, the dealership was closed and my sales rep wasn't answering my calls. So after closing the tasting room I drove to the dealership, spoke to the night watchman and wandered around. No yellow GT.

This is what put me in panic mode. My car had vanished. Even Rachel with FordService was showing it as delivered. Yesterday morning I was in touch with my sales rep, dealership owner (love small towns), and Rachel. It took some digging but what we found was the paperwork I did Wednesday marked the car as SOLD. Which, as far as the computer was concerned, meant the car had been received. So, late Thursday night, it shut down my ability to track in COTUS - furthering my panic early Friday morning. A lot of my guests are amateur comedians and have been teasing me all week about reports of a car hauler overturned on I-40 loaded with new 2015 Mustangs. If this is going to happen to any of us it's going to happen to me haha.

Yesterday afternoon a nameless birdie was able to track my GT to a rail yard in South Carolina with a scheduled delivery of tomorrow. Maybe I get lucky and it arrives today. Who knows. Either way, I now know that my car is in one piece, accounted for and on its way!

Dang...glad the car is about to arrive:headbang:

Well that explanation makes much more sense. I think we all kind of misunderstood your earlier post when you said it was marked sold, like they just had it parked inside or something. I would be upset if a car I hadn't even seen yet already has the warranty ticking away, the dealer should have never processed the car, I'm sure FORD will not be happy with this. They processed a car that hasn't even landed yet. I get doing the paperwork ahead of time (what I plan on doing) but it should have been post dated and nothing finalized until it was delivered. That is so wrong on many levels. Make sure the warranty get's reset to the day you drive it off the lot.

I'll make sure of this! Just messaged my sales rep now.

Sorry for any previous confusion. I was trying to wade through pieces of information as I got them in hopes someone here knew what was going on when I didn't.

Pray to the Mustang gods that she arrives today. If not, well I'll be very glad Monday is one of my days off haha. 70 degrees in the Great Smoky Mountains!!

I wish I could LIKE posts like on Facebook statuses haha. Thanks for those who have rallied behind me!

I still dont get it why the reported it as sold.
We never ever do that until after the veihcle has been delivered and all paperwork signed.
Unless they dont act now and cancel that sale report, you will have to deal with losing few days or weeks off of your warranty , depending on exact date you take delivery of your vehicle.

My sales rep and I talked about this after my last post. No idea the process, but he said it would be handled.

Honestly, since we're looking at a five day difference, it's not really a HUGE deal. If it was December, absolutely.

I'll do my best to break out the DSLR and get a series of TY pics under different lighting. Maybe I can recreate a true representation of the color like I did my GHIG.

Thanks JoeDog! I'm so excited. Monday is going to be an amazing day!!

Can anyone tell me how to break down the VIN Number, i.e. what does each digit mean? In the example given above the first 8 positions are the same as mine, and the remaining are different in most cases... how do you read a VIN? and don't say left to right....

The car is not filled with all necessary fluids when it's shipped from the factory, so if it's weighed at any point before leaving the dealer, you will not be measuring the curb weight. Not sure what the confusion is.
It leaves with all fluids in drivable condition
