Respectfully disagree if I understand you correctly. The PSS (pilot super sports) are 2 seconds slower around a 2 mile track (NJMP Thunderbolt) and pull on average 0.1-0.2 less G's than RE11. Makes sense that tramlining may be worse due to tread block pattern and being stickier.
Yeah PSS are a wonderful tire overall but in no way are they gripper than an RE11.

I originally got these for track days, but by the seat of pants (on the street) they don't feel as sticky as the PSS'S. I'm assuming once they get warmed up to proper temps. they perform better being that they are more of a track oriented tire. I will give a report in March, going to try them at Sebring.

Agreed. RE-11's need to be HOT to perform correctly.

RE-11's were absolutely the tire to have in track and autocross about 5 years ago. Kind of a forgotten gem because they're older. Yes, they're obsolete now but they're far from useless especially given the price.

I picked up some Project 6GR wheels with RE-11's in 325/305. Tramlining is definitely worse, so much so that my wife does not drive the car as much.
I suggest you try getting an alignment. When I put on wider wheels/tires compared to OEM sizes on my car, despite all logic, I need to re-align using those wheels and that type of behavior goes away. Every time...

Also note the weight of the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 vs Continental ExtremeContact Sport which I have seen run 5 lbs heavier per tire.

The Bridgestone runs heavier than the Conti? Or vise versa? Tire rack doesn’t have the 11 anymore.

The RE11 is heavier.

And frankly, for those who are concerned about that, who cares. It's an Extreme Performance tire, more rubber, gnarlier compound. Do you want real grip or want to split hairs? If it's a road only tire, sure get the Conti Sports, actually probably a better idea because let's face it, Extreme Performance tires won't last as long as they'll be more temperamental. But I wouldn't criticize anyone for buying RE11's just as long as they knew what they were getting into.

Continental ExtremeContact Sport (27 lbs)
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (28 lbs)

Goodyears Eagle F1 Supercar 3R (29 lbs).
Michelin Pilot Super Sport (30 lbs) (OEM GT350)
Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 (30 lbs)
Honkook Ventus R-S4 (31 lbs)
Pirelli P Zero (30 and 31 lbs) "depending on model"
Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08 R (31 lbs)

Agreed as well. It's all about your own preference.
