2015 GT Premium Automatic.

Longtube Headers/Full Exhaust
CAI
Vmp Tuned
MT Rear Drag Radials
Rear Race Star 17x10s

I've seen some half shafts breaking on S550's, is this mainly a manual transmission issue? As an automatic i suppose i wont be launching at higher RPMs. If i will be fine with this setup and no issues, at what point of torque and HP do I need to be worried about stuff breaking? I will only be going to the track about twice a month with 4/5 passes. I do plan on getting a nitrous system 200 shot, that will put me at about 580 to the wheels and 620 torque. (Going to 200, 150 in the video)

I heard the transmission is not rated more than 590.
How do you get that much torque with only 580hp?

you won't need to upgrade your axles until you install the nitrous. I'm on stock axles, cutting 1.60's on 20's, trapping 134mph, auto/3.15, no problems.

620 torque?
I heard the transmission is not rated more than 590.
How do you get that much torque with only 580hp?

SVT Performance (Video above) did CAI/Lund Tune and got 408HP/389TQ to the wheels on their first Dyno


After adding a 150 shot they got 542HP/596TQ. Since im doing a 200 shot, I was assuming id get 25 more torque? Maybe a few less...

I was told i would need a minium of 17's up front, the rear ive seen 15's, didnt know i would need bigger to fit my brakes though?

Fellow member RBS550 has Aerospace rear brakes to fit the 15" rears. Otherwise, 17" rims are the smallest you can run in the rear.

Then what about the fronts? Because aren't the brakes much larger in the front?.. meaning I'd need larger then 17 up front?

If you have base GT brakes you can run 17''s up front.

The autos seem to hold up better but damn a 200 shot will be violent
