Brake Lights dont work

The other day someone in a pickup truck pulled next to me and told me my brake lights dont work.

I thought he was just a noob and that I was probably not on the brakes at the stop light and shrugged it off.

Well, the following day I decided to check... and sure enough, they dont work. The running lights and blinkers/hazards work.

I checked the "brake on/off switch" fuse #20 IIRC and it was fine. I also checked the switch itself and it seems to be in good order, wires not disconnected, etc.

Update: it was the body control module, defective part, dealer replaced and it's fixed.

yeah, it sucks. can't wait for some kid to go WOT into the service bay with a car that has 500 miles on it, while they hook me up with a Kia Rio rental.

Probably just a brake light switch adjustment, or the switch went bad.

hopefully its something simple and that they dont have to rewire the entire thing and have to pull things apart like the dash

Yeah. I'd have a hard time bringing my car back to the dealer. Can't trust anyone.

especially with it being this new. nobody wants to have their car as the tech's first experiment

As per the dealer the BCM (body control module) is putting out the fault and it needs to be replaced. They will also need all the keys so they can reprogram them.

I have sorta a similar issue. My passenger taillight decided to go out. However it works when you turn the blinker on or press the brakes. Been at the dealer for a week now. They've replaced the BCM twice and still nothing for the fix. So they are having the engineer for the region come out and look at it. However, idk when that will be... I miss my car man. Haha. This Fusion sucks ass.

Passager tail light out also, as of tonight.
You guys get a fix yet?
Hoping it's the LEDS in the tail light. Will call Ford tomorrow.

Update solved:
Replaced all my DD LESs in the front. All lights working now.
