I picked up a bottle of Buffalo Trace and it doesn't taste the same. I wonder if they are releasing it at an earlier age to keep up with demand.

That happened to me with my last bottle of Makers. It was still good but it tasted a bit different. I’m due to grab another bottle, will be curious what that one tastes like

Just finished this one tonight, wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t go out of my way to find it…

and then saw these on a shelf in Vegas yesterday, but managed to avoid…

I was in a lottery a month or so ago and they were selling 12 year old for 195 a bottle 15 year was 225 and 23 YO was 275. These are retail prices. The mark up on this bourbon is stupid crazy.

Unfortunately when my number was called the best they had left was Eagle Rare.

oh I get what you’re saying, but retail prices just don’t exist outside of the distillery, or a lottery

I also bought three bottles of Taylor, Blantons and another at the derby, for right at 100 clams. But I don’t blame anyone except the distillery, they control the supply so tight that once you get out of Franklin County the prices jump.

….its like the ADM on the ZR1, if you want it bad enough you gotta pay the fee

Been awhile…in my travels I check the locals markets and this is the cheapest I have seen Eagle since before Covid, and in nowhere Arizona of all places

…forgot, had another chance to go thru the Buffalo Trace distillery. Flew a group of guys in that were part of that uber exclusive club and they get access to all the good stuff
