Bought a 2017 GT and oil pump gear said nope. This is a list of parts I’m looking at just going to see what I can build. If you have any experience with the parts listed or know a better way or parts please let me know 😅
Never tore a gen 2 apart so any thing I’ll need that’s good to replace while I’m in there as well?

That sounds like a very solid parts list. Will you be using a 2-step device? If so, I don’t believe the MMR secondary chains are up to the task and aren’t recommended. I think most are running Accufab or Boss secondary chains.

I also see you intend to go with titanium retainers over steel ones. I faced that same dilemma when I bought my Livernois HD valve springs (Gen. 3 heads) and research revealed that although titanium is lighter, steel is going to be more durable.

Will You be keeping the factory cam caps or upgrading to billet ones? If it’s the latter, you’ll need to have the heads line hone bored. I wanted to do this, but their tool is like $1800 if you want to attempt it yourself. I’ve also seen a video where a machinist messed up on the process with MMR cam caps and ruined the heads. For that reason, I’ll be sticking with factory cam caps.

What turbo/supercharger kit will you be running and how much boost/power are you looking to make?

The clutch references a 23 spline, but the T56 XL has options for upgraded 26 spline. Given how robust your combination is going to be, I recommend going with a 26 spline tranny input shaft and clutch for peace of mind.

i will keep the chains in mind thanks for looking out! I will probably keep cam caps and pray. I’m running a gen2r VMP kit. I’m thinking of going to a whipple with more to offer. And the transmission is going to be a future upgrade after the engine is sorted. If the current one grenades then that will be the next step 😂. So that clutch kit is ment to be directly after the engine build.
