I have lowered suspension rear subframe connectors with a crappy 3:15 gear. I drive around local so my mileage sucks 16 MPG. I do have non boosted power mods that compromise mileage a bit. Would moving to a 3:55 gear give me the acceleration I want from the line while still keeping my mileage reasonable?

Your MPG is a direct reflection of the start/stop traffic you are experiencing in town.

No, a 3.55 won't alter your MPG around town much. If at all.

Yes, a deeper gear will equate to a bit more snappy acceleration. At least regarding seat of the pants feel.

You will need to swap the whole pumpkin to do a gear change. I would recommend 3.73 if you are staying NA and don't want to rev out the motor.

3.31 shine in boosted setups and on longer highway drives. I can get basically 30mpg in 6th at 60mph.

he has a 3.15 so it's a 6r80. with a 3.73 ratio he'll hate life.
