Match made in heaven I suppose.I met a few guys who made the trip out from Denver area... they own Porsches and Fords also.
Just on lunch today I got my first chance at some decent seat time in a 911. Even though it's just a lowly slow 996, it was a fun little drive and I completely understand the following.

Shelby gathering
And last night was the kickoff for the Shelby American weekend here in south FL.... was held at Ford of Margate.
Got to meet and chat w/ current Ford WEC racecar driver Billy Johnson .... also got his autograph.
He brought his Heritage edition Ford GT... as many of you know he races the Ford GT racecar in WEC and actually won at Spa last week.
He was also part of the GT350 development team back in 2013-2014.... he absolutely still loves the GT350; one of his favorite cars and continues to highly praise it. And he also used to race for Porsche (996 and 997 GT3 Cup cars) which I didn't know so we had a good time chatting for quite awhile about Fords and Porsches!
^Current sigs are: Vaughn Gittin Jr, Edsel Ford, Billy Johnson, Jack Roush, and Tony Stewart.

The event was small but good yesterday. Was looking forward to seeing the Shelby Raptor Baja.
Bossing, by chance, did you get any pics of the other Ford GTs that were there? Please post if you did.

Too bad we weren't able to meet in person yesterday.... did you bring your R?
I'm out of town this Sat-Sun but I am going to Wynwood tonight for the Shelby activities as well. If you go to PBIR, Billy Johnson will be there and he can give you a hot track lap.... just approach him. I didn't get a chance (except in my live IG vid) to capture the other GTs... especially the white Ford GT, he's literally at every carshow every weekend. That stormtrooper is whore'd out. :lol:

Yeah that Storm Trooper really has some mileage (You can count on it being at Supercar Saturdays @ Lamborghini Broward).

Man nice pics. Is there a newsletter I can join for these events ? I am always around the Winwood area for some things, and I would have easily came out to Margate. It seems I always miss events. Poor Sasha is just sitting in the garage all cleaned up when I am not driving her to the office. :(
