The Steeda mounts are awesome and very, very good quality. I had three different sets in my hands and decided on those and returned the others. Seriously though, you can lower it 1/2 and inch an not be close to anything else. Even at 3/4 of an inch I was just barely, by a butt hair making contact with the steering. 1mm higher and it would have been fine. It was that close. My goal is to get the engine as low as possible for handling. I may see if I can machine a different spacer for the mounts similar to what Steeda has just to make that happen. Or just at a 2mm thick high strength washer to the mix.

I have been wondering how far you can take it as far as drop. I personally want to make sure that there is never contact as time wears stuff out but having it low to the ground will definitely help things out. I wonder how practical that would be on a DD or if this is for a track dedicated car.

It's not my dd, but I drive it when it is pretty, as well as at the track. I can't tell any difference in vibration or noise between the Steeda mounts and the oe mounts. If there is anything, it is so small that I don't notice it. They really did a great job on these, and how they isolate vibrations.
