Have bought myself the S Type Axlebacks Black Tips
Reading their website, they explain why they are the dearest exhaust around? is this true or just hype for you to buy their stuff?
Reason why i went with it, sounded the best for me, on the videos I listened to and the CJ Pony video
But does cost a few hundred $ more than other systems, also wanted the black tips, which many dont make, even seems its way more hassle to fit onto the car
most of you have changed from stock, have I wasted a few hundred $ going for the Borla?
thanks

You already paid for it so try it out, if you dont like the sound you always can sell here or ebay.
I used Corsa on 05' and it sound great, plus no drone what so ever.

Imo, no, you haven't wasted your money. Borla makes great exhausts and the S-Types sound really good. You are going to turn some heads whenever you drive by. Every time you start your Stang up, you're going to smile from ear to ear.

Borla definitely makes a damn good exhaust! Just like Minjitta said, you ordered it, so give it a shot!

Exhausts aren't really permanent mods. If you grow tired of it or just don't like the sound, sell it and go with something else. There are used exhausts for sale all of the time.

I am sure you will like the sound! Plus, I've heard Borla has some amazing customer service as well which is a plus.

I have the S-Types along with the mid-pipes and X-pipe from Borla on my '14 5.0.

Sounds frikin' wicked. Loud when you want, really loud when you get fully on the gas. Sounds is killer, and no drone.

Only problem is the cold start-up in the morning is ferocious!

I had the S type's on my 2007 GT, sounded amazing. And then when I paired it with a Magnaflow Catted X it sounded even better. I was a guy who spent lots of money on different exhaust combo's to get it just right. Borla delivered for me with both my 2004 GT and my 2007. Whenever the time is right for me to have a Mustang again, it will have Borla on it.

ok thanks for the feedback, am looking forward to hearing it, and i think Borla is one of the few companies that do the black tips.
I just really wanted to know if Borla was worth all the hype and the extra wonga, seems it is :D
but I will just have the axlebacks, no H or X pipes

I have the S type axlebacks, they sound really nice with zero drone as advertised, but I do wish they were a bit louder

Borla was one of the few companies that was making performance exhausts for non-V8 cars during the period of time I like to call the Malaise (late 1980's to early 1990's) here in the USA. All the traditional performance companies (e.g. Hooker, etc.) were still focused on the good ol' V8...if you wanted to make your SVO Mustang, Turbo Coupe, or front wheel drive car go faster and wanted it street legal (i.e. meets US emissions requirements), Borla was about the only place to turn in those days...

Clearly it's true because you bought the exhaust. What they said and what you heard made sense at the time, right? Next time think about asking those questions BEFORE you buy. At this point, it doesn't even make sense to ask these types of questions unless you are looking for ragrets and then to waste more money and hassle returning to buy a new set of pipes and which someone/somewhere will say the other brand sucks too. C'mon man!

It makes Perfect Sense, and i asked for opinions not a bloody talking down to
I wanted to know if it is worth the extra money, not a question about I don't like it, as I said I listened to the video's and wanted the black tips. That is how I made my decision. If it did not sound right for me I would not have got it
I just asked for opinions on what people thought of the Borla system

You bought an exhaust that you like from a reputable company - Ford Racing uses Borla...Not the most expensive exhausts but certainly on the higher end and very popular. Worth it if it makes you happy and thats the only opinion that matters at this point. BUT! if you want to hear the other opinions... Nah man, it's the worst exhaust, you got had for your money, you should return it, you could do this for cheaper like I did and so on and so on...I hope thats not what yo are looking for. Cheers

All that really matters is what you like and if you feel like it was worth the money, then it was!!

I actually had my Ford Racing Sport system by Borla BEFORE my car arrived. Did my research, listened to countless videos, made the purchase and haven't looked back since. Love my system (black tips as well )! No drone, fairly quiet if you need it, LOUD when you want it!

Enjoy!
