So just bought a borla s type axel back for my 22 GT. I am very much a novice at car mechanics. Its seems pretty straightforward of an install with a measured cut but is it as easy as it sounds as long as I have the correct tools?

It’s one of the easiest mods. As long as your measurements are right and your cut is good everything should align.

Measure twice, cut once. If you have active exhaust, just make sure the actuators line up properly. Otherwise, biggest “issue” is getting the tips lined up exactly how you want them

Another tip, on the passenger side the wire for the actuator sometime rubs on the frame. I used a hammer to push the frame back a little to prevent that problem. A lot of people have experienced the frayed wire issue and that would prevent that. The small lip is aluminum and she be pretty easy to bend a little for clearance.

It’s straight forward, I just found it awkward as hell cutting exhaust pipes on the ground. Ended up on my stomach with the sawzall in the prone position.
