We ordered our (2) S550 cars a few months ago.

We have the VIN #'s....and the build date is 09/22.

Tracking through cotus says "In Order Processing" still...

We ordered a Guard Automatic GT, Base Model for drag racing development.

We also ordered a Black PP GT, for road course development.

The "Drag" version, will be a basic combo, showing what these cars can do with a few select modifications including a VMP TVS blower, some weight loss, wheels/tires and supporting mods. Plan is to run it on E85, and get it to go as quick as possible. 8.999 would be nice.

The "Handling" version will be just that, built for handling. 315's on all 4 corners...a few minor engine/power mods...and a ton of suspension work.

Keep an eye out for our build threads coming soon!

:D

We hope to have our complete tubular front subframe ("K-Member") on our car, when we take it to the PRI show in Indy, in December.

I estimate that we will be able to shave about 30-35lbs from the front, with that system.

As for additional weight loss items, there will be opportunity to make existing "bracing" lighter....lighter wheels, lighter sway bars, etc.

I think aftermarket exhaust systems will also shave 15lbs or so.

My plan is to remove anything I can, while still retaining a little comfort. I intend to make mine (the auto version) on the edge of being a race car.

Of course, some of the plans for weight removal I cannot discuss at this time, but there may be a few upset individuals - once my build thread discloses them.

I believe there will be a healthy amount of weight, that can be removed/exchanged on this platform.

Understood and definitely looking forward to the builds. Should make for even better weight distribution on top of actual savings.

Thanks guys!

It is going to be a VERY exciting 2015!

My "drag" build thread, in particular, should be rich in tech....showing pros and cons....parts that are weak/strong....areas of improvement...and various items and their weights.

It sucks that all the aftermarket co's cant get the cars in advance to work with but have to wait like everyone else.

I guess the chance of leaks goes up but for those of us impatient it would be nice to see what co's like yours can do with the cars so people can plan ahead. Ah well first world problems I know.

Any plans for the EB? Or will the suspension mods transfer over.

Not sure at this time.

We hope it all crosses over, just like the 2014 V6 / GT / GT500 - all share the same basic suspension system.

Kelly,
It seems that you have a job that many of us would put on our list of "dream jobs".
Enjoy the good life and keep us less fortunate people updated on your projects.

My job is awesome, I will not deny it.

That said, it has it's downfalls. Stress, anxiety, lots of hours and a very long trip to and from the office.

At the end of the day, it is all worth it - the customers are the best part. The loyalty and support that our customers give us, is just amazing. :)

As for the projects - my personal car is the "drag" build....and the "BMR" car is going to be the handling (road course) mule.

I am not sure if I can handle the build threads for both, but my car will have a build thread on all the major forums, and of course - I will be showing it off with my Instagram account, as well as our FB, Twitter etc.
