My BMR springs (Min drop SP089 fronts and perf. SP082 rears) are on their way to Australia right now and I'm making sure I'm ready for the install.

A few points I'd like to be clear on;

- Shorter bump stops. Probably unnecessarily I have also purchased the Ford Performance bump stops. The rear ones measure almost exactly what BMR suggest to trim the stock ones to. (2-3/8 = 60mm) The Ford Performance front bump stops are however 70mm. For the SP089, do I trim these to 48mm? (Same as the height recommended for the SP081)

- Threadlock. The Ford Performance stops also came with threadlock. Is this applied to all nuts / bolts on reinstallation? Any that it shouldn't be applied to? (Obviously not wheel nuts!!)

- Grease. I think I saw somewhere white Lithium grease was recommended on the spring bases. Can anyone comment?

- Clocking the bushings. We're using a two post hoist for the install, but I understand clocking needs to be done with the car level and loaded. So it would need to be on a drive-on hoist or over a pit. All bushing bolts are loosened first and then all re-torqued. The aligned. Correct?

Any other tips for the novice?

I'm a noob , but here's what I do:

Question 2: I put threadlocker on all the bolts that had threadlocker. It's easy to see which bolts had threadlocker once they're out.

Question 4: I put my car on jackstands with the rear wheels off, roll my motorcycle jack underneath the lower control arm with all of my suspension bolts loose, crank on the jack until the car barely starts to budge from the jackstands and then tighten the bolts.

You are going to be super happy with your choice in springs. I cannot wait to hear your feedback!

See bold replies below:

Yes, trim to the same heights.

I like to loc tite every suspension fastener. I clean them with a wire brush, brake cleaner, then put a few drops on the clean bolt.

- Grease. I think I saw somewhere white Lithium grease was recommended on the spring bases. Can anyone comment?

I have never done this, but it wouldnt hurt anything in a small amount.

Correct!
