Food for thought: I put the PP rear dampers on my base car over the summer and it is quite a bit more bouncy on the right roads, but handles noticeably better all around. I think the PP is a little underdamped relative to track use (thus higher velocities, more frequently quick direction changes), but is actually overdamped in the low speed & low displacement region...thus the freeway chop.

Thanks. I think you take makes sense.
I might go for the BMR spring upgrade earlier than planned. Decisions decisions!

UPDATE:

I daily drive my mustang here in Columbus, Ohio, and currently have 245/45 winter tires on my stock PP wheels. I hadn't really hustled the car as you would in the summer, or while racing due to the weather, and winter tires. I've noticed even when not pushing the car, large elevation changes, the car is severely under damped. It's not horrible, and those OK with the factory suspension, will probably be ok with it on these as well, it's just a bit more pronounced now.

Well, last weekend it got up to about 70 degrees and a couple of buddies and I went to a few stores, and got to some highway speeds. Yeah, the shocks certainly aren't up to the task of hustling these beasts around with these springs (id venture to say any uprated spring rate considering I think the car is under damped from the factory).

Keep in mind this isn't to say its all bad. Ride quality is great, normal driving or even intermediate hustling is pretty good. It's the large elevation changes/bumps and high speeds that cause the shocks to show their weakness.

I'll be upgrading to Konis.

And this is exactly the review and feedback I expected, hence my recommendation for the aftermarket pieces.

If you are going Koni, you will be in love.

Yep, when I called you to talk about them before I ordered, you said the same thing you've typed in all these threads, and it's 100% accurate.

For the record that's exactly what Kelly told me on the phone as well!

Will wait for the Koni before doing this install...folks running FRPP dampers with this love it so also a very good option. I will wait till I can hear of a comparo...frpp much cheaper than koni...

If the frpp shocks really are the same as pp shocks it wouldn't be an upgrade.
