BMR Drag Spring clearance issues

I have a 2019 mustang gt pp1 without magnaride. i have larger rear wheels that stick beyond the fender slightly (picture for reference). there is exactly one inch between the tire and fender. i plan on getting bmr drag springs which are a .5 inch drop in the rear. that will mean there is about .5 inches between the tire and fender. will there be rubbing and possible damage to the fender under hard acceleration? the car has bolt ons with an e85 tune making 465whp and 400 wheel ftlb of torque. will the tire collide with the fender?

There will be adequate clearance with no rubbing. I have these springs on my 2019 Magneride equipped Bullitt. No rubbing on factory tires, nor on Hoosier QTP bias plies. I do run a Steeda 1/4” spring spacer with mine, but that was sort of a just in case precaution. See first pic of hard launch at the drag strip.

Ok thats good. I may go with the spring spacer as well. My rears are not stock, and I forgot to mention that. They are American Muscle PP1 style 20x10 rims with 305/35r20 PS4S. If the clearance is good with the spacer, then I may do that as well. Did you cut the bumpstops since you used spring spacers? BMR says you have to cut down the bumpstops slightly due to the lowered height. did you not cut them, cut them less that said, or cut them as bmr says?

Can't Help with the First part.

Whenever you change out springs, you should follow the instructions that go to them. We have different lengths to cut down depending on the drop amount.

The Reason you need to cut the bump stop is because you sit lower therefore closer to the bump stop. If you don't cut them, you'll 9/10 times have a bumpy ride, because you're smacking(riding) that bump stop.

I did not cut my bumpstops. I have the KellTrac Ultra Spec inverted drag shocks, so I assumed they came with the correct size bumpstops. I also deleted the Magneride sensors on my car in the rear and made my own sensor deletes.

The KellTrac Ultra Spec Viking Shocks (which appear to be the product you mean, not Koni FPDrag) do not use the factory bump stops, but instead include custom, integrated bump stops already installed.
The product descriptions for the KellTrac Ultra Spec Viking Shocks specify that they:

• Do not retain the factory/factory style shock mounts.
• Do not retain the factory/factory style bump stops.
• Include installed custom bump stops.

This indicates that a separate purchase or modification of bump stops is not necessary, as the appropriate custom bump stops are part of the shock assembly as sold by KellTrac.

This looks good clearance wise, but my rear wheels are .7 inches wider in diameter at 28.4 inches than the stocks at 27.7. that will bring my tire another .35 inches closer to the fender. I'm just worried about the rear end squatting down from a dig and hitting the tire. A previous guy said they have spring spacers, which i may look at getting the 3/8 inch spacer which would be perfect and fit about the same as yours does.

I had the same concern, especially since I’m running an inch taller tire than most. Same “minimal drop” drag springs. I jacked the front right up so high the right rear was off the ground and front left barely touching, in order to fully compress the left rear and this was the resulting clearance:

Yes they will rub when you run into dips in the road. I put my PP1 springs back on which are almost as stiff as the BMR's but taller. The Steeda spacers look like they would shift since they don't have a groove to keep them in place.
