Hello,
So I am awaiting the delivery of my new lockout kit and am wondering how many of you were able to re-position the cradle in close to the previous position. Reason is I am trying to avoid an alignment. I know I could buy those Steeda alignment pins, but haven't. Figured if I installed the alignment pins it would mandate an alignment because guessing my cradle is not in it's centered position from the factory. Just wondering if there are easy spots to scribe/mark/measure from to get the cradle back to it's original position. Sure centering it with the alignment pins would be nice, but it's not super high on my priority list. Let me know if you were able to pull this off and any info you might have.

Thank you.

CB005 is going to align your subframe. Main reason the CB005 is great is it combines three Steeda parts into a single mod.

If you want differential inserts, install them at the same time as the CB005 so you only have to lower the subframe once. Get a friend to help align the front subframe bolts.

Thanks, yes that's why I ordered the CB005. Not going with the differential inserts just yet. Figured i'd see what kind of improvement the CB005 does on it's own first. Yes, I see how doing it that way might mean I have to take it all apart again down the road, but oh well.

Thanks, I had been through your thread a few times prior to ordering the BMR lockout. I saw your mention of keeping two of the bolts installed to prevent the cradle from shifting. I am not sure if you loosened the two remaining bolts to get the lockout installed or if you were able to install it while the other two bolts were still tightened down? I'm sure I'll figure that out when I get there. I'm just afraid if I have to loosen the other two bolts to get the CB005 installed that might allow the cradle to shift. Sorry I might not have the details right, as I've never really looked at any of it up close so not really sure what has to be done. Doesn't look difficult, just trying to plan whether I can install the CB005 without having to schedule an alignment at the tire shop afterwards.

Thanks again.

I kept a minimum of two cradle bolts in at all times. It made life harder in a way because of the Steeda diff bushing bolt needing to get banged in, but it helped me avoid going to get an alignment and spending more money. I began with the rear cradle bolts loosened and once I finished with the rear, I tightened the rear cradle bolts. Once the rear cradle bolts were tightened, I loosened the front cradle bolts. After I was done with the front, I tightened the front cradle bolts. I crudely verified my cradle alignment with a tape measure. My cradle pokes out 1/8'' more to the right. It measured the same before and after this project so I knew I did not shift anything laterally.
It doesn't hurt to do some recon of your alignment for added peace of mind.

Take a measuring tape and use a reference point such as the outer tire tread ridge with the fender and see how the left side and right side compare.

The front to back slop can affect how easy or difficult it is to install the driver's side Steeda insert if you install it this way though.

Plan for an alignment and try to center the cradle if possible. It only gets better if its centered.

Thanks, I'll see about the alignment, hopefully I can tell if it's shifted after I install it. If I have any doubt I'll most likely have it aligned, most likely order the centering parts from Steeda to get it squared first.

Thank you, I'll check it out.

If anyone has an install video or thinking about making one to help out those (me included) who need help to install would be very appreciated.
