Greetings,

This is an expansion on a previous thread that I posted. I installed the FP Track Pack shocks and struts, and Steeda min drop springs. In lieu of going with the FP Track Pack rear toe bushing inserts, I elected to go with the BMR adjustable rear toe links. I was sold on their advertising. My installer liked them, but to be honest they are creating some clunking noises when I shift gears. Some others have advised to use grease on them, but I thing that will only cause sand and dirt to adhere and cause more issues. I guess I can switch back to the FP rear toe links and install the bushing inserts or live with the BMR toe links. Would the Ford rear toe links with bushing inserts be more quiet? Am I being a bit picky on a little noise? Your feedback is appreciated.

Thanks.............

Rod-end are always going to make more noise than bushing based - It's a solid connection that provides much less flex - at the expense of some noise.

If you want to get creative you can take a set of poly bushings and cut them to size and place them on the sides of the rod end when installing - this prevents the rod end from making contact with the mount and in turn no metal on metal contact/noise. I did this when I did full Spherical/Rod end on my 2013.

If you need the adjustability of the BMR than you're either stuck with the noise or need to make some modifications - if you don't need adjustability or can't handle the noise than I'd revert back to your FP's.
