Hey, Since we are "seasoned" performance car owners, I have an observation to share and to get your thoughts on. I was in High School in the late 60's. My first car was a '66 Mustang 289 2V. Back in those days the guy with the most horse power had the biggest dick. I rebuilt my 289 into about...
Age 69 here. Let's say I don't usually drive my 2017 Mustang GT like a little old lady. I had my car serviced just before I parked it for the winter. The tech told me I needed new tires on the rear. My car has a little more than 8K miles on it. I had elective surgery on my left hand a six weeks...
thanks for the responses. I don't need winter tires. Drive my Mustang only when it's warmer out. But those summer tires are pretty worthless at even 50 degrees. Looking for a three season performance tire. So the consensus is I should replace all four tires and NOT do just the rear tires? My...
Oh I see that it was posted in 2015. No it was at the bottom of a page I was reading on the forum. Didn't see that posting date. Wonder if he still has the car
Great car. Love Red Mustangs. I really love my Ruby Red 2017 Premium Mustang GT with PP. Learn to drive the car before you do anything crazy with it. It's amazing if you drive it like a little old lady these Mustangs behave very well but step into it and it becomes a race car. I almost got into...
Very Cool. I am a BIG fan of Red Mustangs, have two red Stangs. Looks good. A bit louder than my 2017. Good for you. And it's a manual 6 speed. Extra points for that.
I had my 2017 Mustang GT serviced recently. In the check list they pointed out to me that my rear tires were going to need replaced soon. I barely have 8000 miles on my car. I live in MN and will not put tires on this car that allow me to drive it 4 months of the year. At 50 degrees these summer...
I got one from Sears a couple of years ago and love it. I read recently we need to keep that battery charge pretty high to avoid computer issues. I think it cost me about $30.
I read most of these posts and wanted to share a mouse in my Mustang story. I had new siding put on my garage. I didn't realize the contractor uncovered a hole next to the side door. So that next winter mice got into my Mustang garage. Worse, I covered my 68 Stang and left the windows down for...
I have a wider then normal garage and park my two Mustangs in it. My 68 is driven in, my 2017 is backed in. So the doors open in between the cars. The wider garage allows either Mustang door to fully open without hitting the other car.
No one gets into either car, except me, inside the garage...
Might as well get use to the idea of an electric Mustang. Electric cars are the future. As I see it that will mean that the price of gasolene will drop more so it will be cheaper to feed my 2017 Mustang GT and my 1968 GT350.
I'm amazed at how fast electric cars are. 100% torque from launch...
What scares me is appears to me in the USA our strategy is for herd immunity. Is that the only way to deal with this? Eventually we all get exposed? Guess that is one way to thin the herd. Until there is a vaccine, which could take years, do we take our chances of getting exposed, hope for the...
Wouldn't it be nice to know what the truth really is?
We have a crisis on our hands. This is not the time to play politics.
I expect our Fed Govt to be leading us out of this situation.
A Doctor I respect recently said that "everyone will not suffer the same with this virus.
But you don't...
I sold a 1997 Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR4 I'd had since 1999. It was needed more and more repairs and parts were tough to find. So I went car shopping.
I drove a Nissan 370Z, really liked it but too small of a car for me.
I had no interest in a Camaro or Challenger.
Seriously looked at a GT350 but...
Easy install but yes you need to be a bit careful with the stock perch. I just got only the spring assuming I could use the existing perch. Standing on my head on the floor looking at the situation, I could see how easy it would be to break that stock perch. Just be careful and you won't have...
I have the older, 3/4 Steeda Jacking rails, That shorter one is almost too short for two jack stands. I'm ok with these and they do work fine but I'd go with a longer set if I could do it over. Puts the two jacks too close together on the driver's side. By the way, if you do get those, there is...
I had this great list of mods I came up with while I was waiting for my '17 Premium with PP to arrive. When the car arrived I decided to drive it for awhile before I did much of anything to it. Glad I did as I got used to the car I realized what a great car it is as it came from the factory. The...
