Highly inaccurate video. Passed by an Escape in a GT?? ;)

I'd still rather have the blind spot mirrors. Those lights will be on 100% of the time in heavy traffic, making them basically useless.

the spotter mirrors are very good. Had them in practically every Ford rental I've gotten (I travel a lot for business) and love them. Have often wondered why everyone else can't do this? From an engineering perspective they're awesome. Simple, elegant, ZERO moving parts and extremely cost effective without resorting to electronics.

I wouldn't bother with this option if it wasn't clumped in with the 401A package.

I for one love this option. Not a single one of my 30 ish vehicles over the last 30 ish years of driving have ever had blind spot mirrors (except my 2012 F150) and I have been without accident. I prefer to use a mirror and having a blind spot mirror takes too much room from the normal mirror on car mirrors. Trucks are fine with both because of the larger size of the overall mirror.

I am a career firefighter/paramedic and drive engines, ambulances, ladder trucks and the like day in and day out so I know all about using mirrors and I for one am looking forward to this technology.

wha...

it's like a square inch...

It's not just the square inch, it's the fact that it takes away from the one larger image and causes a slight delay and/or confusion of the eyes ability to focus and decipher an image due to both images in such a small area.

Again, this is MY opinion and one does not have to agree. That's why we all have our own. :)

Not trying debunk anyone's opinion, just giving mine.

Jaime

BLIS should have been part of the reverse sensing pack...as a complete sensor package.

Their current packages don't make a lot of sense. Should have been grouped into things like comfort, technology, safety, audio, etc.
