I have to also chime in with the "when a vehicles mirrors are set up properly there is no blind spot." Most people have the side mirrors set showing two much if their own car. I have a 2012 which in all likelihood has worse visibility than the '15 and no blind spots unless I'm backing into a tight parking spot. But I assume radar and the camera on the new car sort that out.

i test drove a camaro before i bought my 11 mustang...im 6'4 and have to put my seat almost all the way down and all the way back. When i test drove the camaro i couldn't see shit my head was passed the window i had to lean foward and stick my head out the window to see anything on either side without the mirror. Its all great having mirrors, but id trust your eyes more than some mirrors. Also the back quarter windows were unusable, and the back window was really bad too in that thing. It really made my choice easy

Setting up mirrors properly is crucial.

I still think there's something to be said for the B pillars being slimmer and maybe more room in the rear. I guess it's for crash protection but I really miss cars having slimmer B pillars. Love my 540I still for this reason, using the mirrors is less fun. I like turning my head and looking!

Crap! All this talk about blind spots and Ford might think we all want more visibility as opposed to a Mustang that looks good! If it's super important to see well to the sides and rear, consider the convertible or a ford Flex.
Careful what you post as such a huge concern, they're listening!
I'd like headlights that work like a Boeing 747 but I don't want the front of my mustang to look like this

Not so appealing but you can see out really well:). Ford might think there's a real market for a Dodge Magnum style Mustang:shrug:

If they are listenig good, I hope they are. Bring the goddamned belt lines back down to normal size. Reduce the doors, increase the windows, and get rid of that upward sloping nonsense once and for all. The Camaro was ruined because of these things, and the 05+ Mustangs were actually decent in this regard in comparison. Even it had a high door though. The first time I sat in one after growing up driving 90s cars is of course: 'why is the door so high?' when I sat inside. The one thing I literally despise in new cars. It makes me hate the entire car when I sit inside it and see tiny windows and doors that come up to my shoulder. NO EXCUSE.

TorkN8R the Mustang has had integrated spotter (Blind Spot) mirrors since the 2010 refresh.
I hope that is a delete able option, I hate having two panes of mirrors.

Uno, for those who are able to look over their left & right shoulders

Mirrors aren't the panacea that some here think they are. When you're backing out of a parking space and there's a giant SUV in the space next to you, and you're trying to watch for cross-traffic and pedestrians, your mirrors are basically useless. Unless you have one of these new-fangled rear cameras and/or radar systems, looking over your shoulder is essentially the only thing that you can do to get a little more view of the situation, and if your back-quarter windows are useless, you're screwed. As everyone says, the current Camaro is HORRIBLE in this regard.

Another bad one was the Pontiac G6 coupe. I test-drove one of those about 8 years ago, and, man, that was bad... giant c-pillars and microscopic rear-quarter windows. I remember commenting to the salesman about that as I backed up to start the test drive. His response: "How often does anyone really back up?" :headbonk:

Good thing the 2015 Mustang comes standard with a backup camera and available cross traffic assist radar.

I was wondering to myself why I've never had this issue, then it hit me. I back in everywhere, it's really the superior way to park, so when I pull out I just look to my left and right out my side windows.

Backing in, I can hug the curb on one side, or place my car more accurately in the center of the space, thanks to my side mirrors, normally park 0.5in-1in from touching the curb on one side of my parking spot so that there is room on the other side of my huge van.

My side mirrors being set up correctly is why my full size cargo van doesn't have any problems backing into tight spaces in parking lots.
