BLACK S550 MUSTANG Thread

My black Stang looks pretty hot when it's clean. The problem is that it looks dirty 5 minutes after washing it. Black is not a good color for dusty southwestern states. I swear I will never buy another black car.

I don't drive mine much. Mostly sunny, dry days...........

Whoooooohoooo well after years of searching resulting in deciding on these beautiful Project 6GR Seven spoke wheels in gloss black, ordering them from Need 4 speed in the USA, waiting 4 stock, arriving in Australia, painting my callipers and FINALLY putting them on today. I must say I love them and I am really happy how they look and sit on the car. I've tried to get a few pictures that capture it well but I must admit the pictures don't do them justice and it looks a million times better in the flesh...but here they are in all their glory .....Man I love my BLACK MUSTANG

I've been shocked how soft this paint is. Had many black cars, this has been the most difficult to keep right.

I knew how bad black is, but pulled the trigger anyway. Put ceramic on...it's been keeping it pretty clean...I only wash with a mitt (using GSF), use a pressure washer, and blow dry it off and only use a super soft MF with beadmaker. But one drive and it's dirty :(

Fellow Black GT owner (PP2). I have a love/hate relationship with my black stallion. Wash it, and 10 minutes later it has a film of dust on it haha. Washing has been a chore (until now) after lugging out the power washer, all the cleaning brushes, foam gun, drying, washing again, etc. etc. I will say, however - there is nothing better than a black clean car

A few weeks ago I had the entire front end of my car PPF'd and then the whole car ceramic coated. The detailing shop carried CarPro cleaning products and recommended a waterless wash to me. As someone who doesn't daily drive my car, it's simply a toy, and garage queen, the dirtiest my car gets is due to dust collected in the garage or at the golf course in the parking lot.

He sold me a bottle of CarPro ECH20 waterless wash. I diluted it as instructed, sprayed on and wiped off... guys it's a damn game changer! I'm not sure I'll ever have to water wash my car again? Honestly lol. I know I sound like I'm selling the stuff, but I swear it's simply a matter of being blown away by the stuff. Only problem is you need like a dozen large plush microfibre cloths to do the job properly.... otherwise it's awesome!

Glad to hear you found the joy of a great detailing product. CarPro are one of the industry leaders so it comes as no surprise to hear you being impressed.

I've owned, washed and waxed many cars over the last 40 years. I have to say that this S550 Mustang is the one I like least...... Too many crooks and crannies and edges.....
