I have been searching online for oem black hood vents as I'm skeptical about wrapping them in gloss black due to the possibility of the wrap peeling. Have any of you wrapped your hood vents and experienced any peeling in warmer climates?

I found newtakeoff.com and blueovalindustries.com, however, the hood vents are currently out of stock. My second question is, do any of you know of any reliable sellers that have takeoff black oem hood vents in stock?

Thanks in advance!

You happen to know how often they drop off the take offs? Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pick them up for?

Seems like stangmods has them for $129.99

I have my vents wrapped and would not recommend it. It was good for about 3 months but now it is starting to peel where it kind of pockets by the bent on each corner.

That was my worry. Have you wrapped your roof by any chance also?

I'm debating on doing that, but if it also peels then the roof will be a no go

$85 shipped from newtakeoff with some coupon code I found on google. no idea what that coupon is now but it was from some random mustang forum discount.

Yes, I wrapped my roof in black at the same time and I have had no problems with that it still looks just as good as when they wrapped it. The only recommendation I would suggest is get a black antenna dome, I had them wrap my dome and it's not bad but you can see where it is starting to peel when you look closely.

I have had my hood vents wrapped for 6 months now with no problem. I think if you go to a good installer who uses quality wrap then you shouldn't have a problem. I believe my installer used a 3M wrap that was able to breath as they felt the standard vinyl would have problems due to the curves.
