you would prob be better off buying the gt hood to avoid cutting ur stock

I thought about that, but according to fordparts.com the hood is 3k which in my opinion I think its to much money. I was hoping for another alternative.

The GT hood has stamped mounting points for the vents, with an opening for the heat exchanger. The GT vents would look very odd if you just bolted them to the top of a flat hood.

Wait a few months. There will be used ones on the market for good deal less than new. Once the aftermarket starts getting hoods to market the stock ones come off and where are you going to store a hood that large?

Or better yet buy an after market hood. The vents in the stock hood are better than nothing but I want even bigger vents. The more air you let out the more air goes in pure physics.
