So...I canceled my order today :( :brokenheart:

I really don't know why. I've been waiting forever for this Mustang and I absolutely love everything about it. However, the fact that it would be my only car (winter here stinks) coupled with the fact that I was so undecided on what color I wanted, landed me at a Jeep dealership today. After spending most of my day there I put a deposit down on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X (white with black fenders and hard/soft tops....its beautiful!) They have it stored at a depot about an hour away and I'll take delivery either tomorrow or Friday. I feel like such a traitor, but after driving the Jeep around with the top off, I was sold.

I'm going to be so jealous when I see you guys driving around in your new, shiny mustangs and I definitely hope to have one of my own soon. It just has to wait till later. Until I can afford 2 cars so I can properly baby my stang!

Sorry to hear that, but life's about choices. Sounds like you made a logical decision.

Now, you may want to avoid this forum in a few months when guys start taking delivery;)

Hopefully the time for you to get your Mustang comes soon! Enjoy that Jeep!

4 door convertible and flexible: a Jeep isn't a bad choice. Enjoy.

Congratulations on your purchase! Looks like you made the logical choice. I'd also have a hard time justifying the Mustang in an area with rough winters if it was my only vehicle. Not to say I wouldn't do it. Thankfully I live in AZ and don't have to worry about it. ;) You may envy people in the stang during the summers but when that snow comes down hard, people will envy that Rubicon. It's an awesome vehicle. Post photos!

That's the beautiful thing about living in Texas, you can drive Mustangs all year long. Except for the one day in the year when it snows and everyone acts like it's the apocalypse.

Wrangler's are awesome though. You will not be disappointed. My family has had a few Jeeps and they have always been great. Enjoy the Jeep!

Mustang vs Jeep Rubicon

I looked at the 2015 Jeep Rubicon. Without add-ons, which are really necessary for a 'rock-climbing' Jeep, price was $2000 more than an EB premium convertible. Dealer had a well-equipped 2014 Rubicon for $45K on the lot. But Jeep doesn't make a Triple Yellow Jeep Rubicon Convertible!

Story of my life. I'm finding myself less satisfied with the available colors the longer I wait to see it in person. Each shade is slightly off my preference; wrong blues, wrong grays, no real greens, ugh.

Yes! That's one less order in front of mine. Good luck with the Jeep, but 4WD kinda takes all to fun out of driving in the snow..

Welcome to the Jeep family!
My wife drives a 2014 Grand Cherokee. Our nephew drives a 2012 Wrangler Rubicon. If you need a new forum look at www.jeepgarage.org . I am waiting still for my S550 and looking at November for delivery.

Have fun with your new Jeep!

Seven fingers on top of the steering wheel. Now it is written.
