Why would I want a 3.73 on a boosted application

More go without more boost. Lots of guys in pp1 cars have the 3.73 which shouldn't be an issue if you are already rolling. It would be slightly more difficult to launch it though.

well you’re starting at like 3600rpm on a single turbo. I don’t doubt it feels lazy. Increase boost or break boost. But your roll is 50mph in 2nd if you leave car as is, not 40 or 60. 3.73 would help a bit with that.
