Try an active exhaust so you can get exotic if need be then tone it down. Roush active with xpipe works great for me, every time it’s a bit obnoxious I just turn that knob, and even on quiet mode it still sounds good

I absolutely love the Borla ATAK. S type would also be good, as would AWE Touring.

i have the thermal r&d cat-back. there is no drone or rasp. kind of the old school v8 muscle tone. cruising down the freeway i can easily hold a conversation with the passenger or play the music on a low volume. it does have a good, loud, deep bark that is easily controlled with the throttle.

How do you compare or thought about the ATAK, S Type and AWE, Have you personally hear the 3?

I was thinking on the AWE Touring or Track edition...

Corsa sport and extreme are too raspy, right?

Have anyone experience with MBRP?

I've heard tons of different combinations on the S550 Coyote, and the 2018+ Active Mufflers are, by far, the best. Mine still has the stock resonator, as I haven't installed the electronics yet, but as soon as I do, I'm putting an H-pipe in. It's loud enough when you get on it, zero rasp, zero drone, and quiet when you need it to be.

My wife hasn't complained, my neighbors haven't complained, and everyone loves the way it sounds.

This subject is just too subjective. Everyone is bias to the exhaust they currently have. Best idea is to hear the exhaust you are looking at in person. Second best idea is to hear the exhaust you are looking at on YouTube.

I own the ATAK, have heard the S type many times inside and out, and the AWE briefly. ATAK is definitely the loudest and most aggressive. I came from Corsa Sport and before that Corsa Xtreme. It has a touch of rasp but is mostly just a badass Coyote sound. It's absolutely my favorite that I've heard. It's deep, throaty and aggressive, but zero drone at all. The S type is milder and more mellow tone, but still gets pretty loud (nowhere near Roush + X pipe loud though). AWE Touring is the deepest of the three, similar volume to the S type.

The AWE track edition will drone significantly, fyi.

So if you're trying to go with something more of a classic deep tone, something like MBRP or LTH would be a good setup. Corsa extremes are a tad on the raspy side, but if you just want something that is a little louder than stock and don't want to get too crazy then the stock mufflers with a resonator delete would probably do just fine. Let me know if I can help you out with anything.

It's all subjective, but I like the Corsa Sport system. I don't think it's raspy at all, not like the Corsa Extreme. Sounds great when you get on the gas.

For the ATAK, how many decibels is in the cabin at WOT ? Preferably measured with a dedicated sound level meter, rather than a phone app.
