Best diff gears for boosted A10? 3.15?

10R80 clutches don't like huge loads in 7th gear. The clutches are super small for this gear as it’s made for cruising. Personally know a few guys that made that money shift to 7th gear by accident and destroyed their clutch packs. Especially on a built transmission where you’re putting much more stress on them.

you can shift into 7th just not at WOT from 6-7

also not recommended by my builder, midnight performance (guys that built the trans) and Lund.

Are you talking in general or for dig racing or rolls? Because my centri with 3.55 is almost hitting 7th gear at only 125mph, and we all know that 7th is a NO NO.
I technically can’t even do a 60-130 on 3.55 gears due to the shortness of them.

It looks like our cars are setup almost the same. I went with the 315/50/17 tire and I can do 60-130 pulls no problem.

Built 10R80 and 3.55 gears. It shifts around 7800 rpms.

Maybe I’m missing something, but my math says 3.55s, 10R80, and 28” tires puts 5th at around 125mph at 8000rpm and 6th deep into the 140s at 8000rpm.

Hate to ask, but are you sure you‘re not misjudging what gear you’re in?

With 3.15s, 28” tire, and 10R80, I can finish 60-130 in 5th if I run it out just a bit past 7500rpm.

I went from 3.55 to 3.15 and i like it alot better 3.55 is good for 0-125mph 3.15 pulls harder from 100-150

I've been 143 in the 1/4 mile and it does not shift into 7th gear.
