Hi Jared,
So I looked at what LP offers through the link you provided and I have some questions if I may.
Within the selections available (and since you mentioned the word "custom") how is it known to you (LP) if a buyer has a manual or auto application?
Now being clueless and without having ordered a tune myself… I guess I wouldn't be surprised that this would be a question that you would ask potential buyers after they placed their order?

Thanks Jared:) and forgive me if I missed any info on the website.
When you buy the tune you will be asked a bunch of questions about your car. Transmission type being one of them.

So I am also considering a CAI and tune but I am concerned about my warranty. Will it void my warranty? Thanks in advance for the help.
Nothing you add will flat out "void" a warranty.

But, if you have a part failure and it is deemed to have been caused by an aftermarket part, then yes you could have to pay for that damage.
Also dealers are different, some may work with you, others may not.

But it seems that if you get a tune and CAI from a reputable company your chances of a powertrain related breakage are slim especially if you are using street tires (darn halfshafts).

Talk to your dealers service department guy. Ask questions. Some are cool other dealers are not. I chose my dealer because they were fair. I didnt expect a new engine if I blew something, but they wouldnt say my blower caused the power seats to stop working.(example)
I was very open with my dealer about mods and he explained what would most likely not be covered as I added stuff to my car. But in no way was my entire warranty voided and I had a blower on the car.

I guess this is just common sense. I will talk to my service manager. It seems that my dealer is pretty Performace friendly and a CAI and tune isn't a major modification. Thanks for the input!

With all of the different options betwenn plastic, painted, and hydrocarbon and proven power of our intake system I believe the choice is easy. Not only that but you have two large vendors here in this thread that sell many different intakes and still recommend the JLT over the rest.

Let me know if you have any questions!

I can never see in the photo view perspective if the JLT box has a tube connecting forward to the stock "ram air" inlet on the side of the front grill. is there a good photo that shows it hooks up somehow. is that part of the aftermarket kit? or does it reuse the stock inlet

Comes with it's own duct to connect to the factory inlet.

Once you place the order we will email you this link to our custom tune request form.

http://www.lethalperformance.com/tune-request-form

You'll fill out the form with all of the info about your vehicle and it's mods. From that info the tune is built.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, Jared

Thanks everyone for your opinions/recommendations.

I'm curious if anyone can give me an estimate on power/torque gains from the JLT CAI and Lund tune running 91 gas?

My estimate would be in the 400rwhp range and 375rwtq. It's going to vary from dyno to dyno as well as your elevation and weather.

Hope that helps.

such a huge variable on everything, our car was only 348 stock, with tune and headers put 380s

had no plans for a cai with doing the blower,

but the lund tune combo is def your best bet

Thanks guys.

I'm thinking about putting on a blower instead, but in the end if I can get over 400rwhp with a CAI I'll be happy.
