Got scared by trolls to trade in :)

I’ve said it before there are like 3-4 people who make tick threads almost everyday. “New reason for tick” and then they say something like if the car faces north during a full moon the car will begin to tick. Then of course that means the car is going to blow up in the next 50 miles and the owner has to trade it in, make a YouTube video, etc.
Uh oh. My new GT was parked facing North last night & while I can't confirm the moon was full it was kind of bright out considering it was night time. I will confirm the moon's actual status & if it was full this car is gonzo! :)

It is nice how the fat comes to the top to make for easy skimming.
Keep it up! Pretty soon you’ll have NO content to skim through! How does it feel to be that way? Quickly silencing opposing opinions and different personalities. That’s so... strange. Weak, too. 20 years ago, car forums were filled with men. Not anymore!

What sometimes happens is that people who need to sell their Mustang because they are skint hear all sorts of noise from the engine. This then justifies the decision to sell up.
LOL…..I needed to look up what skint :sunglasses: meant, but it is so true. Hard to prove, but just based on what a lot of posters say on this forum, you can easily draw that conclusion and be right more times than not.

Now if it were 3 or 4 hundred different owners creating or commenting about ticks and rattles, that would make you look real silly now wouldn't it? :explode: The sad thing is those 3-4 people and the few second accounts they surely made, talk about the same thing over and over and ofttimes contradict what they have previously said. It does make for some pretty good entertainment if you are in the mood.

You forgot break in procedures

What are break in procedures. I've driven mine hard since I picked it up with 2.4 miles on it. Never even looked at these "break in procedures" you speak of. Currently 13K miles, whippled, and no ticks, rattles, or broken shift forks....

Glad to see some real world, good news posts from those that actually own the Mustang some like to berate.

Based on what I have seen, a small band of the same folks stir any controversy from a low simmer to a full, rolling boil. This constant rehashed bad press scares off customers. Don't get me wrong, I acknowledge there have been and are some issues with the Mustang.

But comparatively speaking, it seems to me our cars are fairing better overall than some others. The A8 issue seems to be pretty pervasive in the GM product line. The Cadillac CTS cars had torque converter issues years back. I find it incredulous that after all these years GM can't produce a reliable torque converter. I wonder how many engineers it took to achieve this level of incompetence?
What it really comes down to is that no mfr makes 100% great cars 100% of the time. Some percentage will fail. On top of that you have the owners of those cars in how they use them. You can't constantly abuse a car and expect it to run like new. The small % that fail early are just the unlucky ones. Make no mistake though, a car that makes "unusual" noises does not mean failure is imminent. Also, you should highly doubt the majority of owners claiming to have gotten new short or long blocks. Most of those owners never posted a single shred of evidence that they did have that happen. Just their word. Not saying there weren't any, but many to me were highly suspect.
