I have a whipple 2016 GT. I have had the car lowered on pedders, 20inch velgens but alignment set up correctly and often checked. After about 3 years i had some suspension work done (stop the hop / k brace, drop links etc - but alignment checked) One year later stock rear (US driver side rear) wheel bearing went. In the last 18 months i have had 3 MOOG bearings go all same wheel. I replaced half shafts etc but they keep going. I am about to try Timken bearings but over here in the UK i am not alone in killing these Moog bearings? DO any of you guys get bearing issues and what works? Apart from now changing brand i am runnning out of ideas - the set up is checked each time, tyre wear is even etc no shuddering in drivetrain, i just keep killing bearings. I do drive the car hard but its getting silly, the bearings just done survive...any help would be great, each time i have to import a new set and it hurts in the wallet!!

Clean the threads, apply lots of threadlocker red. Torque them till the bar breaks.

It’s not the bearing failing, it’s the nut getting loose. Launching the car loosens the driver’s side axle nut.

edit: my car sees over 100 launches every summer, I’ve had the nut come loose 3 times on the same wheel bearing now.

I lost a wheel bearing at 300 miles. Apparently the tech did not tighten the axle nut enough. We ran that bitch home on the gun with red locktite and I havent had issues since.

I put my wheel hubs nuts on at 185lb-ft with Loc-tite 242 blue thread lock. Then mark them. They never move. I beat the floppy ball bag out of them every day.
