Get stainless but wait and see if the power gains are worth it compared to others. I have chrome BBK on my 90' for 20 years and no issues. Bought ceramic coated for the 11' and get surface rust and I've never driven in rain. If your underneath a lot it's easy to care for but most won't like seeing the surface rust or polishing it off. They sound great and the throttle response is crazy fast. I'm at about 420/395 on the dyno. The newer coyote is good for another 15/10 Im sure with same mods.

Bbk has a great reputation

Fit in a lot of cars that custom kooks did not.

For a tight budget Bbk is perfect, them and a aluminized cat back will produce the same power as a $3000 header/ catback within 5-10hp at the very most. And you'll have a ton of cash left over for other parts.

The cold hard truth is the 2015 mustang is just another mustang ( yea, I own one too ) but that's the reality of it. In 5 years they will be all over the place and worth $15k on trade in in perfect low mile condition. The Bbk headers will still be in great shape too, as will the $3k exhaust and add very little to the resale.

If you keep it forever, then it's up to you to decide where to dump money.

I bet in 5 years if you could look at total sales for the headers, Bbk, heddman and hooker will be at the very top of s550 header sales.

How heavy are they; cheaper the heavier usually!

never been a fan off bbk's, we've always had lots of fitment and quality issues in the past

Admittedly I don't know that much about headers, but just by looking at those pictures there's no way i'd opt for them over the more expensive options (ARH, Kooks, SW). Just my preference though.

I have too sets of bbk headers and never had fitment issues, they fit just as good as the high dollar headers and after 9 years when i traded the car in i sold them and still made some good $$$ of them.I am a big fan of the kooks headers now and when i buy it will most likely be kooks.

It's always great to see additional options and price points on the market.

They won't make the gains nor last as long as their more expensive counterparts. That being said, I've never had an issue w/ installation and feel they're well worth their lesser price.

We too had fitment issues, I've personally installed about 5 sets and there was always something that needed to be tweaked. Very thin walls as well.

As I keep saying, you get what you pay for. There is a reason 1 or 2 companies make a similar product and charge 1/2 the price. If everything else is similar in part function, quality must take a hit. There is a reason no other header retails for under $1,000.

The experts who build competition cars and sell all of the brands are flat out saying they are not good quality and have fitment issues. If you're going to do it once, do it right.

I'm usually a price conscious guy, but considering the tight fitment of headers I would spend the extra dough to make sure it's perfect.

Sorry to disagree my friend, but theirs also a saying u paid all that money just because of a name.Their are quality headers out their under a grand, thats not saying the popular ones on this site are not top quality. That said i cant count the the times i spent double the amount for a product just to find the same quality for alot less.

Well BBK is a name brand too and we have 2 major distributors saying they're crap so..... I'm not talking by name but by who says their stuff is good in the know and who actually use and distribute the products. There's always something too good to be true deal that really isn't

Im pretty sure if they were such a steal all the suppliers would be carrying but I see no one with them, Beef, Hyper, Steeda, American Muscle, no one reputable.

I can't imagine spending $600 and then install labor, and then having to take them off buy and install new ones. It will end up costing double what a good set of reputable headers out there will run with install at the end. Better to invest a bit and have something you do once. These are trunk bulbs afterall you can change in 30 seconds for $10.

I'm interested in seeing some testing, I'm sure there will be some people out there willing to try?
