What about with orange?

Yes it needs and accent color to make it interesting. By itself it looks like shiny primer to me. Again if you like it, more power to you.

+1 I think u initially liked it because it seemed "different" until I was driving to work this morning and saw an accord coupe and a challenger with a very similar color and you are right...needs an accent. Though it wasn't bad on the challenger lol

Works for a track vehicle...not much else though. Looks like primer with a clearcoat.

Agreed. I don't understand the infatuation with gray and silver. If someone else wants it thats fine. I just wish we had more colorful choices and less blacks, grays, silvers and charcoals offered. Everyone is different of course.

FWIW (which isn't much), I bought a silver car because it was the best overall value I found at the time I was looking. But I really wanted a blue one... As to why OEMs seem to offer so many shades of grey, I guess they just follow buyers' trends. Chicken or the egg? I do find it a little annoying that so much of the S550 color lineup are greys, essentially starting with white and on through black. And all of the other colors offered - save for DIB - are warm shades. I'd really like to see a proper green and a brighter blue.

With all that said, I can see the appeal - to an extent - of a medium dove grey nonmetallic. My EXP was that color, almost a gloss primer.

I posted the color palette from 1971 (or was it '69?) in another thread. It's depressing the lack of color choices the Mustang has now. Blacks and greys were totally absent. They wanted to get away from the "you can have any color you want, as long as it's black" from the beginning of the auto era. Now we've come full circle. :D

By model year's end or calendar year's? The Ford site does say something to the effect of "if you know anything about Mustang, you know that this is a fraction of the colors that will be offered". But that's pretty vague. If they add another color, well, I suppose 10/11ths is still a fraction (10 colors shown out of 11 total), so it'd be technically accurate...

I will say that if I was one of the folks that ordered based on the colors shown, and a color I liked much was offered later on, I'd be unhappy. But as long as they have it sorted out by 2016, I'm good... :D

Interesting, thanks.

There was a member on here (can't remember his login)........seem to recall is claimed to be a dealer........he mentioned new colors coming later this year too. Unfortunately, he also seemed VERY uninformed on many other things (said sequentials aren't available on S550 for example) so I took his comments with a pinch of salt :)
