20W-50 oil does not like -4 degrees. I would suggest different weight if you are driving regularly in sub 20 degree weather.

I just had mine up in Portland MA the last week or so, temps got to 5F probably around 0F with wind chill.

Could you have meant Portland ME? Either way, you’re lucky it wasn’t yesterday- coastal flooding, subzero temps, Snowmageddon.:frusty:

I use a battery tender on all of my cars that sit without any issues. The optima in my 69 is 7 years old and will fire the 501 without a boost, even in the low 20s.

It’s great piece of mind and the newer chargers are smarter than the 1st gen trickle chargers.

It’s 9 deg ambient this morning and 15 in the garage. I need to move south!

I have a battery tender on my car as it has sat since November 17th. It won’t see the roads until end of March or early April. It took the car 6 hours to charge to 100%.
