What are the three cables coming out of the side of the underhood fuse box used for? I believe the one closed to the firewall comes direct from the battery, but what are the other two for?

What are the three cables coming out of the side of the underhood fuse box used for? I believe the one closed to the firewall comes direct from the battery, but what are the other two for?

As you noted, the one closest to the firewall goes to the battery, the middle one goes to the alternator, the end one goes to the power steering.
