So I ordered (and received) my ‘21 base GT a few months ago. I’ve been slowly building it up over time and have been finding lots of little parts I didn’t know about as I convert my base into a PP Killer. All that being said, I’m aware of the gauges, suspension, spoiler, etc. that stuff is easy. What I’m looking for is all the extra stuff they don’t talk about. For example. The lower K member brace and insulator panel, the cowl extension, etc. I wanna say the front control arms on the PP have a panel on them to divert more air towards the brakes… Does anyone have a full list of everything that’s different from a base to a PP, or at least the little stuff? Thank you for any insight!

Side note for the cynical, I don’t need lectures on how you think I’m an idiot for spending more on a base and turning it into a PP, I’ve already heard it all and respectfully disagree. I am fully aware of what I did and why I did it, I’m very happy with my decision.

Two simple words. Call Steeda. They can take base to better than PP. With my Mustang, they took my PP1 and made it better. They can also make Mach1 and GT500 even better.

Your issue is going to be calibrations (ABS, EPAS, AdvanceTrac) that ar model -unique. You brake air deflector sits on a suspension part that you've mentioned, so if you're upgrading suspension, that will get taken care of.

Brakes are easy, for suspension I'd go beyond PP since it isn't that great, same with wheels and tires, differential is another thing you have to look at since there is a major difference in the LSD installed.

I already have a bunch of Steeda stuff, I love it.

I always turn as much of that stuff off as I can, I don’t like it. I’m doing the Bullitt brake kit, prolly Steeda suspension (not 100% yet) and P6GR wheels. What’s the LSD?

Limited slip differential - PP has torsen, non PP has clutch type (and different rear end ratio).
EPAS is steering, ABS can't be easily (and shouldn't) be turned off.

If heard some not-so-good things about Torsen from PP owners on this thread. Your thoughts?

Why shouldn’t ABS be turned off? Pumping brakes/lifting slightly and reapply is a perfectly acceptable method to regain steering and has been fine for me for the majority of my life, much of which was on the racetrack. I don’t want the car making decisions for me, it’s unpredictable at best.

Not sure what you've heard but torsen has lots of advantages vs. clutch Ford diff, there is a reason it ended up on PP, Shelbys and Mach 1s.

For someone that spent a lot of time on a racetrack, you're sure asking weird questions about diffs... ABS isn't unpredictable and if you can outbrake it - great. Lots of claim that they can are not even close. As long as you know what you're doing, you'll be fine.

I don’t mean vs the ford diff, I mean vs any limited slip diff. I’m looking at different aftermarket and wondering if I should get Torsen or something else that out performs it.

99% of my track experience is on two wheels, I’m very green with cars. I’m not concerned with panic braking and losing steering, I don’t like ABS, I don’t want ABS. It’s on my car at the moment, it is what it is. I’ll find a work around when I get that deep into the car.

Look what OS Giken has, but PP Torsen is relatively easy to get and works well.
