Base stereo system no longer working...

My base radio in my V-6 vert just went out the other day...would not turn on. Nothing on the screen except date and time. Drove 20 miles home holding my breath thinking the engine might just crap out. Got home parked in driveway still no radio. After ten minutes later started car up to move into garage...surprise, radio on and playing fine. Now I was thinking that maybe I had hit the mute button or something. But after reading these posts in this thread, I realize that my radio has "Gremlins" also. Darn it...I was thinking my car was perfect up until this. Thanks for telling me how to fix it by inserting a CD...I would never have thought that.

my sync features will not work if i turn on bluetooth on my phone after i turn on the car. i just leave bluetooth on at all times.. idk if that might be the issue.

You might be on to something there. I'll see if that's somehow causing my problem with the base radio. I find the situation truly ironic as I bought the V-6 vert to get a simpler car. My 2013 GT had the Ford Touch that I was not a fan of. Old dogs don't like to learn new tricks.LOL.

Just started having this issue the other day. It's happened twice, radio goes out, black screen, just displays time and date of something like 3-3-2000. Does anyone know if they have a fix for this yet? I know if I take it to the dealer they want to see it do it for they can fix it or try. In my case its just random and seems to come back on after the car sits for a little bit.
