Could you possibly be confusing Sport with Sport+? If you look at your manual, the info in this thread and the thread that I attached the link to in my previous post, it doesn’t seem that Sport mode will be available with your shifter in D. Only Sport+ will be. My car (2020 A10) is consistent with this.
