I just don't see these selling for that much! Saw one at my local dealer for $85,500!

I'd rather buy a new F250 power stroke and mod it for off road. Still save money!

Jeez. I got mine fully loaded minus graphics and beadlocks and paid MSRP. Still cheaper than that. Good God.

Got to love those ADMs. It's not the dealers fault. It's the dummies that pay it. The market dictates what people perceive as value.

I'm confused because the price shown in the link shows it as being "MSRP". Is that not the case?

This is what I'm talking about. They're advertising this as if it IS being sold for MSRP.

Pretty expensive for a pickup with a V6.

Yes it absolutely is.

If a person is a drug dealer..is it their fault or is it the fault of the people buying the drugs?

Dealers ask ADM's because they're greedy and unscrupulous, plain and simple. They're not content with what they get from the manufacturer, with all their rebates and kickbacks, and want to gouge more from a customer.

I'd like to know who the hell is buying these things....

Certainly not lowly engineers like myself.

Nor I, a simple claims analyst at a health insurance company.

A lot of Raptors that I see getting sold and purchased (obviously the last generation, I haven't seen any of the new ones out and about yet) are driven by "bros" and the types who don't think much of carrying $20,000 in credit card debt.

I see what you are saying. But if there is some idiot out there who is willing to pay for 10k above sticker, and it is completely legal, I put the fault in the consumer.
But I do see and understand what you are saying. I talked the GM out of asking over sticker for our ZL1 that we have. I said that it puts a super bad taste in peoples mouth.

I think that if everyone paid sticker price for every vehicle, dealers would be fine not asking more for the more rare and desirable vehicles. Since most vehicles are sold for less than invoice price, I think calling them "greedy and unscrupulous" is a little unfair. Opportunistic would be more accurate.

Its kind of crazy, but some of the best people I have met have been in the car business, and some of the worst have been teachers. In my experience, it is the consumer who lies more than the dealers or salesmen. I think people forget that the car business is just that....a business. Most people want retail for their car and wholesale for ours. Pure nuts.
