Nor I, a simple claims analyst at a health insurance company.

A lot of Raptors that I see getting sold and purchased (obviously the last generation, I haven't seen any of the new ones out and about yet) are driven by "bros" and the types who don't think much of carrying $20,000 in credit card debt.
Yeah....I'm not a bro, nor do I carry any CC debt....

With twin turbos, a 10 speed transmission, offroad suspension, etc.

Saying the Raptor is "just a pickup with a V6" is like saying your GT350 is just a Mustang.
My GT350 definitely is just a Mustang. It's a little hot rodded, but it's Mustang through and through. Drives like a Mustang, feels like a Mustang, sounds a little odd, but it's not super special or anything. I'm sure soon there will be a Mustang out there that beats it in nearly every way.

It's special to me of course, kind of like I'm special to my mom... ;)

Maybe I'm being unfair but IMO every pickup has some offroad capability, and an expansion of it isn't necessarily worth the premium for the Raptor. Plus many of them just drive around on the road. I think the look or the ego factor is the main reason some people buy them, but with a V6 IMO the ego thing is not there.

Pretty expensive for a pickup with a V6.
First off, I will not own a new Raptor, but I have owned 2 in the past. Second, I wouldn't own a non V-8 Mustang, personal preference. But claiming the new Raptor with a V-6 is overpriced is stupid. Watch and see:

Sorry but IMO it's dumb to race pickups. An ECOboost Mustang would walk them both.

Agreed.

This reminded me of some dork last summer in an Eclipse that wanted to race me from a stoplight. In my Jeep. I was like, WTF....

 Probably would have given him a pretty good run.

Yep, no question.

True. The 4WD vehicles would be fun on snow, ice, mud, etc. However, most of their time is spent on pavement.
