Base package: no heat?

I've rented Focus and Escape a couple of times. They are not bad. The transmission is a bit jerky.

I feel like a pinhead driving the Focus. The driving position is way too high for such a small vehicle...and the interior in the Focus is nothing but cheap. I'm sure the nicer interior packages (which the SE model doesn't have) do something about that part. This vehicle has zero appeal to me. Some of the Focus ST's look like they could be pretty fun to zip around in

But hey, I'm not complaining about free transportation while my 'stang gets warranty work...I didn't even have to raise a fuss with the dealer :ford:

P.S. Any ecoboost owners have the same coolant hose failure? Seems like one of those things that just shouldn't happen to a new car...

Latest word is that the part is being delivered overnight from the factory, so it can't be installed until Monday (service dept. has limited hours on Saturday, closed on Sunday)

Everything you said about the Foxus SE is pretty spot on, I drive one as a daily and it sucks on long drives but is great on gas and that's about it.

Happy to report a working heater (after I got my car back at 6:30 PM last night). Works a little too good
