Bro…IDK. I know the love in here is for MGW. I have the MGW. I love George. But I just spent the entire day driving my buddy’s 350 with a Barton and now my life is confusing. Don’t get me wrong, not gonna run home and yank out my MGW, but you can certainly color me impressed. There are a couple details I certainly like better; the stick is taller and has the flat exposed section gives you that old school, hotrod, shift lever feel…love it. It’s a solid f$&@ing option. If I had to do over again, I just don’t know.

Galaxy, you can do that with the MGW and tailor it to what you want.
Adding a picture of how I had mine at one point.

nothing against mgw…

But I love love love my Barton flat stick, had it for 5 years and about 70k miles, also reminds me of a past favorite car…my 69 Camaro SS with the 396, lost in the Great Divorce of 1998 😂

I have the Barton stage 3 short throw shifter, but it has stock style reverse on it. I have a 2015 pp1 GT and Barton is a wonderful upgrade from the stock slopbox shifter. My brother put the MGW in his Mustang and I can't compare them because he is still building his car, both are well built and the Barton was only $436.00 from Barton Industries, they had a 20% discount when I made the purchase. The MGW was about $100.00 more at the time I made my choice.

You're not wrong, and I'm thinking about it. But, the MGW flat stick looks like you just tried to slide the boot down the stick to make it more visisble. The Barton looks like it was made that way. Just my $0.02.

^ This ^ It was the only thing on my mind. I got back in my car after getting home last night and I think the difference is that the MGW is perfect. There's not a flaw in it. Maybe that takes away some of that raw, old school feel we like? Maybe?! The Barton felt more like rowing gears where the MGW feels like DCT quality precision.

I love my Barton on my 350 the flat stick is awesome. I will say the main reason I went with Barton over MGW is because they make them about an hour from me in NY. That said I'm very happy. And don't regret buying a Barton.
