Just curious what options are available for overdrive balancers that will work with the Edelbrock if I stay with a 6 rib. Or other options to go 8 or 10 other than the super expensive Edelbrock 8 rib setup? Thanks guys!

any 6 rib balancer will work if you wanted a OD lower w/o increasing rib count, so you could get something like a 10-20% ATI lower and stay 6 rib

Looking at this now, what did you end up doing for OD balancer?

Wish there were more options for 8 or 10 rib, Edelbrocks kit is outrageous

I tried it. Didn’t hold boost past 11psi. Ended up getting a 8 rib kit from beefcake.

Just getting mine back together, for now I've stayed with the 6 rib and stock balancer but went with the aux. idler bracket and a 2.75 Griptec.

A 2.75” griptec slipped on my 6 rib setup with stock balancer. Partial throttle it would go to 14-15 and then slip.

you need the SW aux idler to get it to not slip, it adds a auxiliary idler to the belt drive to get more belt wrap on the SC pulley
