Backup Camera Doesn't Work in the AM

I've had intermittent issues with my backup camera since I bought my car last year in November. But now it consistently doesn't work in the mornings. All I get is a black screen and a message that the camera is unavailable. It works fine in the afternoon, though.

Is there a fix I can do myself without having to take it to the dealer?

That is very weird. Only in the morning?
Do you park your car outside? Condensation?
What about after washing your car or driving in the rain?

I've been parking outside for about a month. We're living with our in-laws while we're having a home constructed. I won't be garage parking again until the first week of August.

Maybe it's a humidity thing?

I haven't noticed any issues after washing and it works fine in the rain.

Seems weird it doesn't work in the morning.
What if you change clock on the car would that make the camera operable?

A few of us are having this and similar problems with the wiring harness and broken wires back there...there's a thread or two on similar problems...trunk won't open, camera inop, things like that.

I know that some people have issues with the backup camera after tracking the car, or getting the car really hot, so perhaps there's a similar issue with cooler weather?

I had the issue in cold weather, anything below 38 and the camera was dead. Finally got ford to replace the camera and the wiring loom. Now if they'll only stop my seat from wobbling.

i played with a setting today called camera delay in the infotainment thing. i turned it to off and it seemed to clear it up 100% for the rest of the day so far.

I can believe the wiring harness issue..Cant count the number of times my trunk has opened on its own while parked in garage for more than a few days.

Mine is def a harness issue, seems to happen when the trunk is closed (hard) by people other than me.... (kids)...

Mine pops open on occasion only when i try to open my sunglasses tray and my ape knuckles tap the trunk button....

I’ve had similar problems, but kind of the exact opposite - it quits working whenever the car’s been sitting in the sun for a while. This whole camera thing is kind of flakey, it seems. And I don’t think I’ve got the wiring harness issue either - no problems with anything other than the camera.
