Details: I own 2017 R, 22,000 miles, owned it for 6 months, bone stock. Occasionally either between high-revving shifts or when coming to a stop-light in gear it backfires (popping sound), just once, not like twice or 3 times, just one "pop". No warning lights pop up on the dash or anything. Curious if this is normal?

Thanks for any input.

My does it relatively frequently. From what I understand it is harmless. The tune is a little to rich and the gas ignites after leaving the combustion chamber.

Yup, it's 100% normal. You can get it to do it on demand if you rev it out in gear, then left off the throttle and just barley give it a bit of gas as it's engine braking. It'll sound like a machine gun

For best results, also turn off the A/C. Don't ask me why. A/C off and let off throttle like 98% and it will snap, crackle and pop like crazy. It always puts me in a quandry on hot days. A/C, or Pops. Hmm. Usually, I drop the windows and go with the pops.

The crackling in the exhaust when coasting at light throttle, particularly in sport mode, is a feature, not a bug. Ford (and most GT350 owners) want it that way...

The Ford Philharmonic VooDoo 32-Valve Orchestra acoustical crack dealer keeping you addicted since 2015...!!!!!

It's not like Ford was unaware of the issue... I found this waring label near to my exhaust tips at the rear valence... it's hard to find but it is there...!!!!

Love that gurgling sound, as I call it. It lets others know you've arrived.

I don't think what you're explaining is the "gurgle"? I will get some upshift pops when running straight E85. Unfortunately, the e85 takes away almost all of the "gurgle".
