  1. 2020 Shelby GT350 Production Numbers announcing soon

Interesting that only 33 cars got the handling package.
  2. throttle responce

There's two components to throttle response. The first is the magnitude of the response - the % opening per given level of accelerator press. Up the percentage and the car becomes "more responsive." I think this is how all of the plug and play devices must work, because I can't see how they...
  3. Realistic weight reduction

Other than maybe wheels and driveshaft, I'm not sure I'd do much more. I don't think you'd really notice a difference from the other things. These cars need to drop like 500 lbs, which isn't really practical. Compared to a lightweight sports car, they drive like a bus. A glorious bus, but a...
  4. Backfires

For best results, also turn off the A/C. Don't ask me why. A/C off and let off throttle like 98% and it will snap, crackle and pop like crazy. It always puts me in a quandry on hot days. A/C, or Pops. Hmm. Usually, I drop the windows and go with the pops.
  5. Standard Mustang Seat for GT350R

To avoid crushing the bolsters or wear from dragging over them, I put the seat all the way back before getting out. Gives me plenty of room to get out and then back in again later. Since the seats are manual, this only takes a second. I'm not driving the car every day, but I don't think it...
  6. Pedal commander?

My question about these devices is what they actually do. Do they simply 'magnify' pedal inputs? For a very hypothetical example: I press the pedal down 15%, now the throttle plate opens 30% instead of 15% for a larger response. Car goes faster for any given accelerator input. *or* Do...
  7. Looking at a 2019 Gt350

    1) Did you upgrade from a Coyote/Mustang before the gt350? Had a 2001. So much of an age difference it's not really an upgrade. Just another thing entirely. 2) Do you track the car? If not, do you feel like this would be as good as a daily car as a standard GT 6speed? Have not tracked it...
  8. 500 CFTP Arrival (Philly Area)

I didn't try to talk about any pricing with them, as I'm not looking to get out of the 350. When I was shopping my 350, they let me order below MSRP while others around here sat on theirs for months with some silly amount of ADM. I have no idea what the market on this sort of car is like now...
  9. 500 CFTP Arrival (Philly Area)

If anyone is looking for a 500 CFTP, this just arrived at the dealership that I got my 350 from (Robin Ford). I only post this here because when I was looking for my 350, nearly every place I dealt with in the Philly/NJ area was absolutely terrible. These guys gave me a good (although not as...
  10. My experience shopping for a sports car in this segment (and why I'm leaning GT350)

I have never been a motorcyclist, but I like to think I drive the lotus like I'm riding a motorcycle. Never lingering next to other cars, always looking at the heads of drivers I'm about to pass to make sure they aren't looking around to change lanes, making sure cars are not drifting a little...
  11. My experience shopping for a sports car in this segment (and why I'm leaning GT350)

As one who owns both a 350 and an Elise, I will say they are both very enjoyable (and very different!) cars. I find myself driving the 350 more often because while it does have a tremendous amount of character and is a joy to drive at any speed (but especially fast), it is extremely comfortable...
  12. 2019 GT350 Engine Failure @ 2170 miles

My original 350 was built in June of 2019, and it locked up at low mileage.
  13. Battery Trickle Charger Connection Points

Just out of curiosity, when did they start fitting this BMS into Mustangs?
  14. New 2020 GT350 HEP engine failure

I think this is more of probability. Say, 2% of the engines have a bad valve or whatever the problem is. Your replacement engine also has the same odds, and the odds of getting two in a row are 0.04% or something like that. I had a 2019 with a dropped valve, and the replacement engine was...
  15. Exhaust valves randomly close

Same thing happens to me. Normal mode with exhaust flaps set to open. Not worth complaining about but it is odd. I have noticed no underlying logic.
  16. Well that didn't last long. 2020 GT350R DEAD

I had a 2019 that dropped a valve at under 500 miles. It spent over a month at a dealer getting two engines (the first replacement was NG). Ultimately, I had it bought back (with great difficulty - Ford was terrible), but I did like driving it and the dealer wanted to help, so I got into a...
  17. What is the engine failure rate?

I think we would need a much more detailed poll - a real survey, to glean any real useful or accurate information. And even then, it would be imperfect as we would only reach a subset of owners that are active on the internet, and likely higher engagement among those who have had engine issues...
  18. Trunk Liner compatible with B&O subwoofer

I put the Ford accessory trunk mat in my 2020 and it fits fine.
  19. 2019+ Spoiler Replacement Gurney Screws

If you want to fully cover the opening in the spoiler, you will either need a flanged head or use a washer. Here are the ones that I bought.
  20. 2019+ Spoiler Replacement Gurney Screws

Well I guess I only have the short screws the n. Either way, the source above has screws that will work, if not exactly the same. They also have 12 mm and 16 mm lengths.
