For what it’s worth I contacted AWE and inquired about an exhaust with 5” tips for our Mach 1’s, I was told they will be doing a GT500 exhaust in the next few months and they are planning to see if they can make it work on the Mach 1. I do very much enjoy the OEM in track mode with an H-Pipe but I certainly would entertain a Touring AWE

Went through some development just recently with a company and they aren't interchangeable. I wasn't willing to do what they wanted to do so I opted out and said I'll stay stock for now.

Curious as to what made them not interchangeable.

Borla has an adapter that allows their kits to be used interchangeably - most manufacturers do not. Added to my initial post, apologies, this manufacturer is a UK brand and for whatever reason, a US vs UK/AUS Mach 1 has different underpinnings of some sort that just don't line up. I wasn't given the nitty gritty of course because I volunteered my car as the test mule and it didn't pan out, so...

That's all I know.

Gotcha, if you posted on your experience previously I think I remember reading about it.

Shit I wish I knew that before I got the Borla. But they dont have any active exhausts for the mustangs so thats kind of a bummer

Yeah, from the way their 2018+ Mustang GT design looks, they have no place where the actuators can go, besides blocking off one of the outlets after the muffler, which makes no sense. Doubt they will re-design to accommodate mode selection just for the GT500/M1. The resonators after the H pipe is a unique design that I like, but really wish the system allowed for keeping the quiet mode. To fit, probably the Y split at the end needs to be a bit different to accommodate the 5” tips and needs a different mounting location for the active exhaust actuator bracket, as we have the diff cooler. The tips are separate pieces already.

I am now smarter after your explanation, thanks for sharing

Reached out to AWE for an update. Was told they don't have the car to prototype on and not yet on the development schedule. So it will be a few month.

And as to having active exhaust or not, it still hasn't been decided.
