So this may be a bit premature but does anyone have any guesses on the "avalanche gray" color that is supposed to be unique to the 2016 SVT Mustang variant (whether called the GT350 or SVT Cobra or what have you)? I'd be happy at this point with speculation. So what do you imagine? Is it lighter or darker than Magnetic? Is it metallic? Does it resemble any previous gray colors that have appeared on Mustangs?

My guess is, and this is just a guess, is that it will be non-metallic, a lot like the battleship grey offered on Audi RS models.

I'm kind of hoping it is a metallic paint. I'd love to see something like an updated version of Silver Smoke Gray - something that has just a little bit more of a blue undertone than Magnetic.

So if it turns out that sort of shade is actually what eventually ends up on the car, what is it that people like about it? Particularly with all-black wheels, it seems very industrial/utilitarian/institutional to me.

I would definitely have zero problems rolling in that color combination. I love it!

You say "industrial" like it's a bad thing... That combination is sexy as hell. Looks like something out of a Terminator movie.

No intention to offend anyone. Beauty ( including sexiness ) is in the eye of the beholder. If this color turns out to be like the Audi battleship gray and folks love it, then good on 'em. I would personally pick something else.

This is a color I would wrap a car in, just incase I got tired of it. The wrap of this color used on a lot of high-end cars is:

Avery Gloss Dark "Battleship" Grey Vinyl Wrap
