Awesome mod man, really well done! But I could never see myself driving a performance oriented car at this level, and not have it manual....not having a clutch makes me feel like I'm missing a limb lol. I haven't driven any automatic mustangs yet, how's the response time?

that is the one thing that could be improved, but dont think it can..

Its better than automatics of the past, but its still pretty sluggish.

The biggest improvement is being able to time your shift.

I rented an AM Vantage V8 S with a 7 speed single clutch manual automatic last year. That thing practically predicted you touching those paddle shifters, I've never seen an automatic paddle shift faster. I know there are cars that do, but I haven't driven one. If I could have gotten the PP package with a 6+ speed auto that shifted that quick and hard, I would have probably. Still, hard to pass up my first manual after my 05 GT was auto.

Someone just needs to figure out how to send a signal for each gear then make an H pattern shifter with a P R D option.

I agree. Also why didn't Ford just put this type of auto shifter into the Mustang in the first place? The new Chargers and Challengers have it, the new Camaro is gonna have it, hell even my '06 Tiburon and '11 Lancer cars had it! Kinda strange in my opinion that Ford didn't do that. Maybe they will for the 2017 refresh.

Can those focus shifters be modified to fit our s550?
I would really like to be able to shift through traditional shifter.

I think it could, this wasnt to hard to retrofit.

If you could attach the shifter handle to the mustang, I can help you with the wiring and such.
