I know you could run STU, street tires only makes it so you aren't running against race rubber. Also CAMC would work, but it is a bit more serious.

I heard STU would be a hard class to compete in, was hoping I didn't have to go that far but i guess the 10" wheel seals the deal

You can run in STU. STU allows for the mods you have (springs/coilovers are fair game and max 285 width tire).

If its your first season of autox dont worry about what class you run, and simply go have fun. And the fact that you are asking what class you are in, this implies that you are new to autox. So go out and have a good time :)
If you want to be competitive, you are better off taking the wheels and springs off and running in FS . At this point those parts are bumping you into a class that the car is not set up for, and as the saying goes "bringing a knife to a gun fight" as you are under modded for the class to be competitive.

I wouldn't say that. The classing system for most auto-x is ridiculous. I have no idea where I'll be but I'm still very into it.

Besides, I just go for fun, no matter what. I just hope to wreck camaros and the like, I don't care if they think I have an unfair advantage...its not like I am or ever will be doing this competitively to bring in money.

i autocrossed my miata off and on for 2 years, and ran my 135i for a few events. I'm pretty sure my BMW was in STU as well and I got wrecked by the lighter cars, so I was worried a little bit about lagging behind in the mustang. It's been a few years for me though so I couldn't remember what classing I would be in, think they would get mad if I entered as a rookie again, I won my first two events in R XD

If you get to the point where PAX matters, CAM-C is a better choice for a muscle car.

CAM-C pax = .830
STU pax = .844

the package I chose (or didn't choose, really) is a base model with the expectations that I'd run it in ESP. Unfortunately, there isn't much choice in Coilovers or adjustable suspension yet. So I'm stuck playing with classing right now, and F-Street won't work on the 18x8's

I ran STU this weekend and it's a bit of an uphill battle against the AWD turbo cars, but I actually might consider it for Nationals as this is likely going to be a throw-away year until ESP parts are a bit more available.

I was close though. Less than a second out of first. The top 3 are National tour runners. I think Luke won the Texas Tour, but had a bad day.

too many letters though...
